How’d your passion for menswear start?
My passion for menswear started after my first visit to J.Crew. The company has been such a big influence on my style. I remember always running to the store to get their style guide each month. Long story short, I ended up working there for a few years and everything went uphill from there. Once I got a grasp of the basics, I developed my own style. I was styling clients ranging from students going back to school, to people going on vacation and even groomsmen for weddings. After that, I started to do it on my own time and made a name for myself on Instagram. Since then, my passion for menswear took off and I started to develop an audience. Every day I have been learning new things, connecting with cool brands, and styling for more and more people.
What are your goals as an influencer?
As an influencer, my only goal is to inspire others to think outside of the box. I want people to do things that they don’t normally do. By specializing in product photography, I am able to show others via my Instagram what they can do with all of the many products and amazing companies out there.
How would you describe your personal style?
My style is all about the fit. I get almost everything tailored if it doesn’t fit right off the rack. After the fit, I look at color palettes. If the primary color is gray, I try to stay within that color scheme to keep things smooth. Then, I add a small pop of color to throw in some flavor, e.g., a pocket square, lapel pin, a nice tie, or some funky socks.
Explain this outfit:
My fall transitional outfit starts at the shoes. With the colder weather approaching I ditch the sperry’s, penny loafers, etc. and swap them out for some nice boots. After that comes the denim because of its versatility and practicality (to keep you a little warmer). You can always use a denim shirt if you want to keep the fall look without wearing jeans to the office. Throw on a layer (or two) and you are good to go!
