Men's Tie Bars and Tie Clips for Sale
The tie bar, also known as the tie clip, is as much about fashion as it is about function. This small but mighty accessory is meant to keep your tie in place as you go through your day. Whether you go with something conservative like a silver or gold tie clip or something a little more unique, your tie bar is sure to make a statement.
When should I wear a tie bar?
If you’re wearing a tie, then a tie bar is an option. Some people feel like they aren’t dressed without one and some people only don them on special occasions. It’s really up to you.
Where do I clip a tie bar?
The tie bar goes between the third and fourth button of the dress shirt. Make sure you fasten the tie bar to the placket of your shirt as well, not just the tie. If you wear your tie bar too high or too low, it won’t really do its job of keeping your tie in place and you’ll look pretty silly.
What tie bar width is best?
A tie bar should extend ½ to ¾ across the width of your tie. As long as it’s not longer than the width of your tie, you’re good to go. For standard width ties, we recommend 1.5 to 2-inch tie bars. For skinny ties, we recommend 1.0 to 1.5-inch tie bars.
